LA MESA PETANQUE CLUB is the largest pétanque club in New Mexico. Founded in 2010 by a group of friends in Nambe NM, the club has grown to a statewide club with members from Northern New Mexico, Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

Our club is dedicated to promoting pétanque as a fun and recreational activity, as well as a competitive sport.

We are affiliated with the Federation of Petanque USA (FPUSA), the national federation, which is a member of the Federation International de Petanque et Jeu Provencal (FIPJP), the 70+ nation international governing body based in France.

Year round, we hold pickup games weekly in different part of the state and tournaments about once a month—some random “melees”, some formed “select” and some major Opens.

2013 is off to a good start with plans for many of our members to participate in out of state tournaments and the creation of the first international petanque Open hosted in New Mexico, the "P'TIT LOUIS OPEN".
